Context: I was very much looking forward to this one, I enjoyed the first one very much and the cliffhanger, with 7 making an appearance at the end, was really good/intriguing in equal measure.

THE REVIEW

What I thought: fantastic story and a perfect setting for Missy, a crazy, evocative steam punk alternative/out of synch type universe. Missygoing up against the master schemer 7th Doc was brilliant, and the interactions between McCoy and Gomez are bloody great here. The adventure doesn’t disappoint, with Missy trying to not let on to the Seventh doctor who she is, it’s quite a moment when he works it out. I don’t want to be too spoiler-y about how this adventure ends as this would lessen the impact of this great story but suffice to say this was a crazy cliffhanger/ending…just wow!

Rating: 4 out of 5 panopticons: another intriguing entry into the Dark Gallifrey range, always great to be back in Missy’s company. I don’t really understand how this all fits together but it’s bloody great fun and to some extent, who cares when you are having this much fun!

What I felt: amused and entertained, simple as!

What am I left thinking?

• How do they get out of that cliffhanger!
• Awesome companion in Scratch
• Steam punk sub setting is so much fun
